- The Palestinians believe that since they have been their longer and they are natives that they deserve to stay in Palestine.
- The land holds a lot of religious and cultural importance to both sides. This makes it hard to judge who should get how much of the land.
- A lot of Israeli people do not even recognize that the Palestinian people or culture exist.

- Israeli government is still heavily enforcing their rule in the West Banks and Gaza, even though it is not technically part of their territory.
- Many deaths, especially civilian, are occurring on both sides of the conflict because their is so much hate that has built up over the years of fighting.

- The primary "hotspots" of conflict are the Gaza Strip, the West Bank area, sanctified land and other holy sites like Temple Mount. The control of these lands has been widely controversial, as each nationalist state seeks a homeland, much like the Kurds in Turkey and Syria and the Chechens in Russia.
